Emmy is a registered physiotherapist in New Zealand, Australia, and Hong Kong. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1996 and later achieved a Master of Science in Physiotherapy with distinction in 2007, for which she was honoured with the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award.
Throughout her career, Emmy has gained extensive experience working in both large hospitals and private practices. She has provided physiotherapy within the Hong Kong Hospital Authority and served as a Senior Physiotherapist at a public hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. Her passion for sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy was highlighted when she was appointed as a clinic physiotherapist for the International Olympic Committee during the 2008 Olympics, where she treated worldwide athletes in the Olympic Village.
Committed to evidence-based practice, Emmy continues to share her expertise with healthcare and sports professionals. Her research on shoulder muscle strength profiles in sport climbers has been published in respected medical journals. Over the years, she has earned various qualifications from reputable institutions, including a Professional Diploma of Acupuncture for Physiotherapists (HKBU), a Certificate of Manual Therapy (UWA), Dry Needling (PNZ), Fit ball Instructor certification (AASFP), and Pilates certification (BET), all of which further enhance the care she provides.
Emmy is dedicated to delivering high-quality rehabilitation services with a focus on patient well-being and tailored care. Her ability to communicate fluently in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin allows her to connect effectively with a diverse range of clients.
